When did you start running consistently? What prompted you to start? I started running after the birth of my daughter by completing the couch to 5K program on the treadmill. Then I signed up for my first race and started running outside. Now I hate the treadmill!
2. Where is your favorite place to run/workout? Around Goffstown, especially on the rail trail. It’s a great little town and the mix of terrain keeps it interesting.
3. Do you have a favorite race? If not, what is on your bucket list? It’s a toss up! I’m a big fan of the Ribfest 5 Miler – good distance, course, atmosphere, and plenty of food afterward. However, I had a blast doing my first Spartan Sprint last year.
4. What is your current running/fitness goal? Last year was all about distance and I did my first half marathon. This year, I want to break my 5K PR of 25:08. It’s a lofty goal.
5. What motivational quote or motto keeps you working hard?
My mom passed away from complications due to a debilitating type of arthritis at the young age of 62. She fought the last two years of her life to keep from having her feet amputated. I try to remember running is a privilege
